The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota is the oldest and second largest statewide women's foundation in the nation, and remains the only grantmaking organization in Minnesota dedicated exclusively to growing equality for women and girls.
At the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, we rally the hearts, minds and
resources of Minnesotans in support of an equitable world for women and
girls. Our vital grantmaking programs empower organizations by and for
women and girls to affect social systems through grassroots activism
and change-oriented initiatives.
We’re growing a state of equality for women and girls statewide — and with it, stronger communities and a stronger Minnesota.
Growing equality for women and girls takes vision, resources and hard work, as well as strong partnerships with grantees, supporters and volunteers. We know that investing in women and girls makes a difference for all people and makes Minnesota a better place to live.
The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota funds and builds the capacity of innovative programs. We conduct valuable research and use it to inform our grantmaking, educate opinion shapers and policymakers, and raise public awareness.
We measure social change with specific indicators for tracking progress, and we promote women’s philanthropy and provide our donors with important training and tools to help shape a just society.
