Imposter Syndrome in NonProfit
October 24 @ 9:00 am - 10:15 am EDT
In her thought-provoking article, Esther Saehyun Lee boldly challenges the status quo of the nonprofit sector, writing, “I am an imposter. I don’t belong in the nonprofit sector—as it is. I refuse to subscribe to the values of white saviorism, colonialism, donor worship, poverty tourism, and the self-congratulatory attitude of ‘doing good.'” In this discussion, Esther, Vu Le (author of the popular Nonprofit AF blog), and Aleeka Morgan (WFN Member; director of Nurturing Wāhine Fund) will explore key themes from Lee’s article and delve into the experience of imposter syndrome within the nonprofit space.
